The New Form I- 9- What You Need to Know

 

As of January 31, 2020 the Department of Homeland Security- U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced the release of the new version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. While this form is ready for immediate use, employers may continue to use Form I 9 (07/17/2017) until April 30th, 2020. After that date, anyone still using the outdated form could be subject to penalties.
